Inside the First 24-Hour Agent Livestream: Raw Results, Real Progress

This weekend, we wrapped up our first 24-hour agent livestream — a transparent deep dive into how Nexgent’s trading agents perform over an extended, uninterrupted trading session.

The goal? Simple: Show the good, the bad, and everything in between. We're building in public, and this livestream was designed to give our community a real, unfiltered look at how far we've come and where we still need to go.

The Setup

We loaded our simulated trading agent with 7 virtual SOL, roughly $1,047 USD at the time, and set it loose for 24 hours straight in live market conditions. From the outset, it wasn’t an easy start — the Solana ecosystem took a 5–10% dip just as the session kicked off.

Despite the rocky beginning, the agent held its ground. It clawed back from early losses and ended the 24-hour session with a total portfolio value of just over $2,500, marking a ~149% return over the day.

Performance Highlights

Here’s how the agent performed:

  • Total ROI: ~149%

  • Average Return per Trade: 5.75%

  • Win Rate: 62%

Those are strong numbers — especially when you consider the early volatility in the market. The agent navigated its way through the noise with resilience, and while far from perfect, the results were encouraging.

Why We Did This

This wasn’t about proving we’re ready for live trading. Quite the opposite.

We launched this livestream to showcase exactly where the Nexgent platform is today. We’re still deep in the simulation phase, and that’s intentional. Live trading with real funds demands precision — and we can’t responsibly roll that out until we’re confident in the platform’s ability to consistently mimic real-world conditions.

The livestream gave us the opportunity to test the agent in public, gather data, and involve the community — all while identifying where improvements are still needed.

What We Learned

While the overall performance was impressive, there were still challenges:

  • Liquidity traps: The agent got caught in a few low-liquidity tokens where exits became impossible, resulting in some 100% losses. This is a known risk, and we’re continuing to refine our risk profiles and trap detection logic.

  • False wins from traps: Interestingly, a number of the most profitable trades also came from these traps — raising questions about whether those same outcomes would hold up on-chain. This is exactly why simulation fidelity matters.

  • Slippage: While slippage wasn't a major factor in this run (most trades were sub-$100), we’re planning to build more accurate slippage modeling into the simulation engine as trade sizes increase.

What’s Next

Over the next 24–48 hours, we’ll be conducting a full review of every trade the agent executed:

  • Verifying entry and exit accuracy

  • Checking for anomalies or bad data

  • Comparing to real on-chain conditions

From there, our engineering focus will shift toward closing the remaining simulation gaps — ensuring things like slippage, pool depth, and transaction speed are fully accounted for.

We’re also continuing to refine our liquidity trap avoidance mechanisms, with more intelligent decision-making models in development.

Continuing the Experiment

Given the success of this first run, we’ll likely make these 24-hour agent livestreams a regular fixture — either weekly or fortnightly. Each session will reflect the latest improvements and refinements, helping us move step-by-step toward full live trading support.

Competition Recap

We also ran a community competition asking users to guess the agent's ending balance. We’ll be reviewing all entries shortly and will announce the closest guess (and the winner of the prize pool) soon. Stay tuned!

Final Thoughts

This was a major milestone for Nexgent — not because the numbers were good, but because it represented radical transparency and iterative progress.

We’re not here to hide flaws or overhype our roadmap. We’re here to build, test, improve, and earn trust — and this livestream is just one example of how we’re doing that.

Thanks to everyone who tuned in, engaged, and supported the initiative. The journey is only just beginning.
